Dr. James Michael Williams

J. Michael Williams, DBA, grew up in Gainesville, Florida, in a home where love, faith, and the wisdom of generations shaped everything he would become. He found his voice early, writing poetry and sermons, and delivered his first public sermon, "Delayed Not Denied," as a student at Bethune-Cookman University.

He started out pre-med, set on becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. Life redirected him, and he became a different kind of doctor, earning a Doctor of Business Administration and building a career as a higher education executive committed to equity, enablement, and excellence.

In 2020, he survived COVID-19 when doctors didn't expect him to. Months later, he lost his mother, the only person who had read the manuscript he'd been working on for years. The demons he writes about are the voices that told him his story ended when hers did. Chasing Demons is what happened when he learned to chase them instead.

He is the author of The What If Factor: Living Beyond The Question Mark and the Amazon bestseller 7 Days of Grace: A Devotional On Grace. He creates inspirational content for social media, speaks to audiences navigating their own internal battles, and lives in Florida. Come what may.
